RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Challenge

If you've read either the hard copy, Kindle or Nook version of "No Problem, Mr. Walt" you might have noticed that I dedicated the book to my late son, Walter B. Hackman, Jr. The dedication reads:

This week while I was on my regular search for book bloggers and fellow authors to review my book I ran across the website RonovanWrites.

After perusing the website, I decided to contact Ronovan Hester about a book review, and while searching for his contact info came across his weekly Haiku challenge that looked interesting. This week's challenge requires the use of the words "eye" and "fade". The directions were simple: Take the two words and write a Haiku. Haiku has a simple but challenging requirement. There are 5 syllables for the first line, 7 for the second, and 5 for the third, but you can use any words you like. Lines one and two should read as a complete sentence and lines two and three should read as a complete sentence. I decided to give it a go.

Here is the Haiku poem I wrote for Wally.

You fade so slowly,

From my mind and unending dreams,

My hidden eye sees.
